What it means
First Holy Communion is a milestone in the Catholic Church and some other traditions: the first time a child receives the bread and wine that Jesus shared at the Last Supper, saying "Do this in memory of me."
Most families dress up for the service itself, so a T-shirt is usually for the celebration afterwards, a matching outfit for brothers and sisters, or a keepsake.
He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
