What it means
Psalm 23 pictures God as a shepherd who leads, feeds, protects and walks with us "through the valley of the shadow of death". It's a psalm of comfort for hard days and of gratitude for good ones.
Designs often add a shepherd's crook, a sheep or green hills. It's a meaningful gift for someone who has been through a difficult year.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing.
